I made it out just in time...

Upon the advice of son Aaron, at the last minute I changed my ticket to Madison, WI, leaving Thursday 12/18 rather than Friday. Northwest gave me a Weather Waiver so it was FREE, the plane left EARLY, the snow in Madison HELD OFF until I arrived--literally, the next day New York City CANCELLED more than 500 flights, including the one that I should have been on! In my alternate life I would be sitting in Laguardia with thousands of disgruntled up-a-creek holiday passengers for who knows how long! Sometimes I see myself in that alternate life and I shudder to think what would have happened if I'd simply sat down at the computer after my Pratt classes were over and played a couple of Spider games rather than calling Northwest...
